Can we view the deceased?
Yes. Please let us know when you call and we will arrange a suitable time.
How long does the process take?
Typically three to seven days from the time of death, depending on the family's wishes and the availability of the venue and officiant.
Can we have a funeral on a weekend?
Services can be arranged on a Saturday. The cemetery and some other providers charge weekend rates. Sunday services are rarely possible.
What happens to the ashes after cremation?
They are returned to the family in a suitable container. We can arrange delivery if needed.
How do we get a death certificate? - Do we need one?
Yes, and yes. We organise Births Deaths and Marriages to produce one for you. You will likely need it for banks, lawyers, and other institutions.
Can family members carry the casket?
Yes. Many families choose to have family or friends as pallbearers.
Do we have to use a funeral home for the service?
No. Services can be held at a home, a garden, a hall, a beach — anywhere that feels right.
What is the difference between burial and cremation?
Burial means interment in a cemetery plot. Cremation returns the body to ashes, which come back to the family. Both can be accompanied by a full service, a simple gathering, or nothing at all.
What if we have no money?
Please call us. We will talk honestly about what is available.

Can we bring our own music?
Yes — a playlist, a CD, a live musician. We will make it work.
How many photos are good for the photo tribute?
30 is about perfect, but sometimes you may feel that more tells a better story.
Do we have to have a fancy hearse? {Dad} was more of a farm ute kind of guy.
We have a selection of vehicles available, but we can also work with you if there is a special vehicle you would like to use.
