Tips for Planning a Funeral
Planning a funeral is something most of us do only once or twice in a lifetime, usually in the middle of grief. A few things worth knowing before you start:• A funeral does not need to be elaborate to be meaningful. Some of the most moving services are the simplest ones.• Music matters more than most people expect. A single well-chosen song can do more than twenty minutes of words. Take your time choosing it.• If you are putting together a photo tribute, a smaller, well-chosen selection can be more moving than a long one — and far easier for people to take in.• A meaningful eulogy of three minutes is worth ten minutes of one that tries to cover everything. Say one true thing well, and people will remember it.• You do not need to have everything decided before you call us. We are happy to talk things through at whatever stage you are at.
